The estate comprises 225 acres (91 hectares) of vines with an average age of 35 years, planted on gravelly, sandy clay soil. The vineyard is planted with 80% Semillon, 15% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Sauvignon Gris, giving the wines richness, aromatic complexity and elegance.
The rich resources of Château Suduiraut's terroir are due notably to its geographical location, close to the Ciron and Garonne rivers, offering an ideal microclimate for the development of noble rot “Botrytis cinerea”, essential for the production of exceptional sweet wines.
In addition to its prestigious Sauternes wines, Château Suduiraut produces fine dry white wines that delicately express the purity of the fruit and the freshness of its Premier Cru Classé terroir.

Our Sauternes:
- Château Suduiraut, Premier Cru Classé en 1855, is made from a selection of the finest terroirs of the property. This wine is hand crafted at every stage of its elaboration and benefits from extensive life-span.
- The estate also produces a second wine from other plots in its vineyard: Castelnau de Suduiraut.
